You need this stuff. You've gotta get this stuff cheap. So you can buy more stuff.. Here are some things you can do when you've got a product you're interested in. Pretend You're A Customer Before you really type in that card number again, go to the web site product support for whatever you're buying. Look at the message boards. You'll get a great feeling for the problems with things before you buy instead of after! If you can't find a message board run by the company, go search usenet using google groups. Search for the product keyword, but also search for words like "patch", "sucks", "problems", you get the idea. Sounds like a joke, but believe me, it's better than going solely on reviews in which the product was in the hands of a magazine editor for a few hours. Also, even if you don't buy from amazon, those reviews are indispensible and generally the best organized source of comment's I've found so far. Search For Price This part is pretty easy. Use any or all of the price search engines on the next page to scope out your quarry! The one thing needing deciphering is the term I use "Pay To Play", the type most sites are. The listings are only from stores that somehow pay or get money back to the searching site. So you won't get prices from the whole internet here. Also, the top two sites listed, techbargains and fatwallet, are useful for opportunistic buying, sort of like really smart impulse buying!
