Rio Karma Digital Audio Player

So after I returned the RD2780 Lyra Audio/Video jukebox, I had to decide what to try next. My real goal was for storing all my audio, with video and file storage a bonus if it turned out that way. With the RD2780, I realized that for me sound quality is really important.

So here's the new Rio Karma. A unit that's small, but not long and thin, but thicker and shorter. So is it as good as it seems? Most enthusiastically yes in just about every department. The Karma is an outstanding consumer product and piece of engineering as well.

What's in the box

It's nice to get what you need with a new electronic device, what's worse than a missing cable? With the Karma you get more than you knew you wanted. The whacky packaging is pretty misleading. In this blister pack is a nice assortment of goodies to prevent you from running out to the store for a cable.

In addition to the Karma and the "case" (a cloth drawstring bag), you've got the wall-wart power adapter, ear buds, rca stereo cables, usb cable, Ethernet cable, and the oh-so-important dock.
