User Interface

The interface is the downside. It's pretty, but it's organized in a confusing way. It has a browse mode, and a home mode. The home mode is like iTunes where web pages show artists and albums, and browse is mainly by artist in tree lists. But don't expect those lists to be sorted, d'oh! One nice feature is browsing by Napster or Billboard yearly charts by season.

The interface is buggy at release. I found it thought I wasn't logged in on some pages when I was, the back button doesn't always work, and at times it displays pop up dialogs right on the main screen, so you are thinking it's just a page, but you can't do anything else until you close it because it's a window.

Catalog

A fair selection with some exclusive tracks, and what look like live recordings of artists done just for them. I didn't know many of those artists though! Again much the same limits as other services... you won't find Zeppelin anywhere yet!

For streaming, the catalog offers more than you can see if you haven't joined, and purchasable tracks also may become "buy only", so until you join it's hard to tell!
